A neurologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. They help manage conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and nerve-related pain.
Neurologists perform various diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG (electroencephalogram), and nerve conduction studies to assess neurological health. While they do not perform surgeries, they work closely with neurosurgeons if surgical intervention is needed.
